Build strong and secure outdoor structures with the Framola Post Base Bracket. Designed as part of the Framola system, this bracket makes it simple to install upright timber posts for pergolas, fencing, car ports, and other garden builds. It provides a solid connection between your timber and the ground, helping create a stable and long-lasting structure.

The design allows you to fix the bracket directly to concrete, brick, or other solid surfaces using masonry bolts. Once secured, the timber post slots neatly into the bracket and can be fixed in place using wood screws through the side holes. This creates a firm hold that keeps posts upright and aligned. The staggered hole pattern helps prevent screws from clashing inside the timber, making installation smoother and more reliable.

Manufactured from heavy-duty British galvanised steel, the bracket is built to withstand outdoor conditions. The textured black powder-coated finish gives a clean, professional look while adding an extra layer of durability. With five size options available, you can select the correct fit for your timber, from 2 inch up to 6 inch posts.

Optional extras such as installation kits and post base covers are also available to make fitting easier and improve the final appearance. Designed and manufactured in the UK, this bracket offers a dependable solution for building strong outdoor structures.

Getting The Right Post Base:

To get the right post base for the size of wood you are using, please select from the options at the top. This will allow you to select between options for 2", 3", 4", 5" and 6" timber.

All the screw holes on the sides of the post base bracket are 7.5mm. This means that our Framola Timber Pergola Installation screws are a great choice for securing the wood to the bracket.

To secure these Post Base Brackets to the ground or to a wall, we recommend these Hex-Head Masonry Bolts. The hole sizes on the base are 10mm in diameter. (There are additional holes on the 3inch variant to allow you to use smaller bolts). Specifically we recommend the 6.0 x 50mm size. These bolts are specifically designed for concrete, brick and other hard materials.

To make life easier for you, we also offer an installation kit which provides a drill bit, a driver bit and a selection of bolts to secure it to the ground.

Going for a custom colour?

Add a Post Base Cover?

The Post Base Bracket Cover is an additional product which can be placed over the Post Base during installation to cover the screws for a clean, aesthetic finish.

During the installation of the post base, you should place the cover over top of the base before slotting the wood in, as doing it retroactively would require the pergola/fence to be disassembled. Once the cover is placed over the post base and the wood is slotted in, you need to lift the cover to screw the wood to the post base, and then slot it back over gently.
